Custominder Cookie Policy
Cookies, authentication, browser preferences, and website visitor logging used by Lotusware Inc.
1. About this Policy
Custominder is operated by Lotusware Inc. ("Lotusware", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains cookies and similar browser technologies used on Custominder websites and applications. It also explains our separate server-side website visit logging. Read it with the Custominder Privacy Policy.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small files that a website may store in a browser. Related technologies include local browser storage and session identifiers. Not all information collected when you visit a website is collected by cookies.
3. Authentication and Security
The Custominder Main App and Community Portal use authentication sessions to support sign-in, access control, and security. Session technology is necessary for these functions. The applications configure authentication sessions for up to seven days, but the lifespan of an individual browser cookie may differ. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or other protected functions.
4. Preferences and Browser Storage
Custominder uses theme functionality that may retain interface preferences, such as light or dark mode, in browser storage. The exact storage mechanism and duration depend on the application and its configuration.
5. Website Visit Logs Are Separate from Cookies
On participating websites, Custominder records visits through an application request sent to its server and API. The logging process does not require a visitor-tracking cookie. Disabling cookies therefore does not necessarily stop this server-side logging.
6. Information Recorded for Website Visits
Depending on available browser, request, and hosting data, visit records may include page URL, host, referring page, IP address, user agent, browser and version, operating system, device information, timestamp, and available geographic data such as country, region, city, postal code, latitude, longitude, and time zone. Some fields may be unavailable or approximate. Visit records may contain personal information.
7. Purposes of Website Logging
Website visit information supports website performance monitoring, understanding website use, operational reporting, security, and service improvement. Lotusware and customer organizations operating their own websites may have distinct responsibilities for their use of visitor information, as described in the applicable privacy notices.
8. Retention
Custominder website visit records are subject to a standard retention period of 730 days from their creation, after which the database is configured to delete them automatically. Database expiry processing may not occur at the exact expiry second. Other records, including authentication and security records, can have different retention periods under the Privacy Policy or applicable legal requirements.
9. Third-Party Services and Analytics
Certain supporting services may process technical information when delivering the website or application. The code review for this policy did not establish that Google Analytics, advertising remarketing cookies, or a separate analytics-consent banner are enabled. This policy does not claim those optional tracking technologies are active. If optional analytics or advertising cookies are introduced, the applicable notices and consent choices must be updated before use as required by law.
10. Your Choices and Consent
Most browsers permit you to view, block, or delete cookies and stored website data. Restricting essential technologies may affect site functionality. Browser controls may not prevent server-side visit logging. Where law requires consent for non-essential technologies, Lotusware will obtain and manage that consent as applicable. This policy does not imply that a dedicated cookie-preference interface is currently available.
11. Changes and Privacy
Lotusware may revise this policy to reflect changes in technology, operations, or applicable law. Processing of personal information, including international processing and requests concerning personal information, is further explained in the Custominder Privacy Policy. A published version of this policy will identify its effective date.
12. Contact
For questions about this policy or website logging, contact Lotusware Inc. through the Contact Us page on the Custominder website. Registered users can also use the application support channel.
